It’s never easy to see a chip in your windshield and then wonder if or how it’s going to grow. Every windshield chip is different. Many chips can be successfully repaired. To determine the right way to tackle your chip, our professional chip repair experts will look at the size of the chip, the amount of damage it has caused and the chip’s location. Our technicians will treat your vehicle with the care it deserves by correcting the windshield damage and all noticeable blemishes.
In addition to our excellent work, it may not even cost you a thing. Did you know that if you have comprehensive insurance coverage and choose to repair your windshield rather than replace it, most insurance companies will waive your deductible? That means there’s no cost to you. We work with most major insurance companies, so we’re familiar with their policies.
It’s important for us to repair your chip soon after it happens, as dirt and other elements can get into the crack over time, making it harder to seal. Come visit us for an analysis.

Our Auto Glass Replacement Services
Given that every windshield chip is different, our approach is to have one of our Extreme Autoworks chip repair experts examine the damage first, and then we’ll provide you with a quote. We look at three things when we examine a vehicle:
- The size of the chip: We can repair most chips that are the size of a quarter and even some cracks that span up to 12 inches.
- The amount of damage: We’ll take this into account during our inspection.
- The chip’s location: If a chip is located on the edge of the glass, it needs to be repaired as soon as possible. This type of chip has a higher stress level and can spread faster than a chip that’s located in the center of the glass.
In most cases, we can repair chips with minimal to no trace of the chip. How do we do this?
- We start by using our pressure washer to clean the area.
- We then inject a special resin that fills the chip and any cracks.
- We apply pressure to the glass, working the resin deeper into the cracks.
- We cure the resin with a special UV light, which causes the resin to harden and cure.
- We scrape away the excess resin and polish the chip to give it a clear look.
